Welcome to my website profile!  As a receptionist, I get the pleasure of meeting and greeting pets and their people:  which lets me in on all the great stories people share about their animal friends.  Although now it seems obvious to me that I would work with animals in some capacity, I tried out several different career paths before settling in the veterinary field.  I grew up on a farm in northern Minnesota, where my two brothers and I made an early career out of making pets of every stray cat and calf we came across.  I’ve also worked as a tour guide at the Supreme Court in Washington D.C. and at the Gibbs Museum in St. Paul, Minnesota.  I’ve sold shoes at the Mall of America and done office work at the Human Rights Center at the University of Minnesota.  I currently live the exciting single life in Uptown with my exciting single cat Professor Dean.  The two of us enjoy watching movies and t.v., and Dean loves helping me read by placing his paw in the book to hold my place.  Although I could probably choose many different professions, what keeps me at Compassionate Care are all the great people (mainly Laurie) I get to work with, as well as the great clients and pets who walk in the door every day.
